Chapman, the 23-year-old Chicago native artist, has succeeded in turning me on. His suave new LP Progress Report stands worlds away from his debut XL Life, which he admits represents an artist, moreover an overzealous person he hardly recognizes anymore. This album, as it’s title suggests, is a wholly developed, lascivious step-up that requires little introduction- unless you’re referring to the seamlessly sensual “Hari’s Intro”, or this mindless introduction you just read.
