The world got its first taste of Thelonious Martin’s very anticipated upcoming project “Wünderkid” this morning with the release of “Her” featuring Mac Miller. The Chicago producer also announced the release date for “Wünderkid” on his Twitter account saying “OH AND DECEMBER MOTHER FUCKING 2ND BY THE WAY.” Martin also released a features list for the project that includes Ab-Soul, Curren$y, Domo Genesis, Joey Bada$$, and Michael Christmas.
The track floats on the slow and funky side, with a lazy fall afternoon vibe to Miller’s raps. I first remembered one of Miller’s early songs, “Another Night”, while listening. This song, however, drops the youthfulness of “Another Night” and replaces it with a much more matured and erotic mood.
Be on the lookout for “Wünderkid” out December 2nd and prepare for the total domination coming from Thelonious Martin.
