SoloSam dropped his impressive project, Epoch. It is five solid tracks in length, Solo goes all in and the EP impacts with a genuine vibe and powerful delivery. Epoch does exactly what you want a debut project to do, it gives an all around picture of the Chicago emcee’s sound, skill and lyricism, keeps it tight and generates interest in what he’ll be doing next. His single, “WDB,” asked “who dat boy” and the Epoch EP begins to answer that question. SoloSam eschews typical, worn out themes and wisely chose to open up with a personal statement that illuminates his values – hard work, skill, spirit and determination. The production is by 10A, HyRich and BanksTheGenius. The project was engineered by BanksTheGenius who reps the Glass Tree collective. Listen to Epoch all the way through, “Sometimes (Outro)” is a highlight.
“I’m flyin’ it
And you crashin’ it
This ain’t sometimes, it’s passionate”
